With an Aviation Management degree from Southern Illinois University, she spent over two decades making substantial contributions to the aviation industry. But what truly set her apart was her commitment to making aviation accessible to all.
Through her leadership at AeroStar Consulting Corporation and the founding of AeroStar Avion Institute, Tammera created opportunities for youth to explore and pursue careers in fields where they had previously been excluded. Her efforts extended far beyond just education. Tammera was featured on major platforms such as NBC, ABC, FOX, and PBS, where she advocated for diversity and inclusion in aviation.
Her work earned her numerous awards, including the prestigious “Fly Sister Fly” Distinction Award from the Bessie Coleman Aerospace Legacy Foundation and the “Spirit of Flight” Award from the Illinois Aviation Hall of Fame. She also received the Alfred C. Anderson National Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding contributions to the aviation community.
As an ordained minister, Tammera’s passion for service and mentorship shaped every aspect of her life.
