The Rio Mesa High School community is mourning the loss of Dejuan Hall, a beloved junior and member of the Varsity Boys Football Team. At just 16 years old, Dejuan had already made a profound impact on his teammates, classmates, and everyone who knew him. Standing 6’0″ and weighing 300 pounds, Dejuan was a force on the football field, where he played as an offensive lineman wearing the number 72 jersey.
He was also a baseball player and a 2022 member of the Camarillo Pony Baseball Team. His physical presence and dedication to the game were unmatched, but it was his heart and character that truly set him apart. Dejuan’s family, friends, and teammates will remember him not just as an athlete, but as a loving son, brother, and friend. His loyalty, kindness, and unwavering support for those around him left a lasting impression.
Off the field, Dejuan was known for his caring nature, always looking out for others and offering encouragement to those in need. Although his time with us was far too short, Dejuan’s legacy of strength, love, and perseverance will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of the Rio Mesa community, and his spirit will remain a part of the team he loved.
